Chief Bojang Warns Duo against Land Fraud

The Chief of Kombo North District warned Mod Salieu Jallow, a Guinean national and a Senegalese national to desist from selling cemetery land to people as residential purpose.

Momodu Bojang made the warning during training of 33 head villages recently in Sukuta Sanchaba.

He said the training was aimed to settle dispute amongst communities, compound, and before reaching to his tribunal court.

According to him, the cemetery in question belongs to the community of Sadingka in Old Yundum village of West Coast Region.

“It was the Senegalese national who is selling some part of the cemetery land to one Mod Salieu Jallow, a Guinean national who in turned is selling the said  cemetery land to people as residential purposes,” he said.

He also urged the community of Sadingka through the village alkalo (Village Head) of old Yundum village, Borry Jassey to do in their efforts in order to fence the cemetery so as to avoid future tampering of the cemetery land by the intruders in the area.

He added that since they started the training the alkalolus benefited a lot which they had never known in their work before.

“The training enhances their capacity as far as their work is concern and this is the first training of its kind to be undertaken by the office of the Chief of Kombo North District,” he added.

Chief Bojang described the alkalolus as village heads who are putting the cap of the district authority while he as head chief of the district is putting the caps of the traditional rulers and Judiciary respectively.
