The Office of the Gambia International Airline [GIA] in Kairaba Avenue has been re-opened Gambia Revenue Authority confirmed.
The re-opening followed settlement of outstanding tax arrears which GIA was said to had owed GRA.
When contacted for clarification, the head of cooperate and public affairs at Gambia Revenue Authority, Ousman Bah said: “they have settled their arrears with GRA and resumed normal business operation.”
He further cited section (215 ) of the 1997 Constitution saying the section has empowered Gambia Revenue Authority to close any business that don’t comply with the Revenue Laws.
It could recalled back that the Gambia International Airline GIA, was temporally closed down by The Gambia Revenue Authority GRA, due to tax arrears.
