Mahamadou M5 Jallow, Public Relations Officer for the Gambia Democratic Congress has said Gambian technocrats should come forward and offer their advice to Gambian leader, Adama Barrow on running his administration process.
“The country’s technocrats to counsel President Adama Barrow in the proper means of development to take the right decision so as to bring relevant services to the doorstep of masses as expected of the government,” he said in an exclusive interview with The Voice at the Management Development Institute (MDI).
He added: “The country should have enough medical doctors and medication, good feeder roads, proper water sources among other relevant services to ensure the wellbeing of the public.”
According to him, the President should be surrounded by competent people, who really understand issues of the country and the means to develop the country, adding that if this is not done the country will find it very hard to be developed.
On alleged President bribing to UDP lawmakers.
He condemned corruption, saying he is yet to lay hands on facts about President bribing some lawmakers, adding the President should be concerned with the welfare of the whole country but not a group of individuals.
“He [Mr. Barrow] is the president of the country; thus he should see The Gambia as one unique nation and the country’s interest as his basic goals,” he concluded.
“Many people may be affected with malaria especially at the rural area; therefore they might have better medication as they are Gambians who expects relevant services from the government. If enough medicine is lacking then is a concern,” he added.
On alleged corruption of Fatou Bah- Barrow Foundation.
He said: “Now, is the duty of the President to clarify the matter to the public because keeping quiet means accepting the act,” he said, noting if that is real then D33millions should not be deprive from Gambians and taken to elsewhere because it could have been used for other aspects of national development such as purchasing medical drugs among other necessary things for the public.”
