Saaba Furuunding Association has expressed commitment to fighting hunger and revitalizes Findi production in the country.
Tamba Dambele, chairman of the association said the objective is to foster mutual understanding and bring members to holistically promote oneness and unity in accelerating development objective of the community.
“The members value the important of reviving Findi production, noting that it has more economic outlook and can contribute to mitigate food insecurity,” he said.
He also called on communities to take up findi farming as a means of attaining household food security.
Njama Sighateh alkalo and Baba Sighateh VDC chairman commended the association for their foresight in fostering unity and contributing to attainment of food security.
“Findi production was fading and therefore reviving findi production would obviously contribute to food security,” they said.
Njana Saho and Fatou Camara both said the convergence has provided platform to support findi production.
