According to Nianija Chief, CRC and NCCE officials went to their door steps in order to education them what is good for them and their children while also sent his commendation to the Government for taking the right path.
He assured of his communities support to the process anytime they come to their communities noting that this is not about politics but about nation building which everybody should take it as their interest.
Madam Raki Cham a prominent lady of Chamen village also in the Nianija district called on her fellow women in the district not be left behind when deciding about the country’s new Constitution so that they (women) can have bigger share in the Constitution.
She called on people of Nianijia to put aside their political differences now and make sure they participated in this very important process which she described as paramount to The Gambia’s democratization process.
“Anytime CRC and NCCE officials are with us we should leave behind all our engagement and come and listen to them so that in future nobody will shoulder the blame of putting bad laws into our constitution,” Madam Cham appealed to Nianija people.
