A 42-year-old German national has on Monday committed suicide in his home in Kartong village, Police has confirmed.
The Police spokesperson ASP Lamin Njie confirmed the death of Omar Kinteh, but added that investigations are currently ongoing to ascertain the cause of his death.
According to eyewitnesses, the decease was found hanging on a cashew tree with a white rope tied around his neck.
Meanwhile, speaking to Musa Jaiteh, father to the wife of the deceased said that they have no clear reasons to the death of his in-law.
Isatou Manjang, neighbor and eye witness said after the wife of the decease came looking for herbs for her estrange husband, shortly she heard a scream calling for help and ran to the scene “I was there with no assistance as the entire neighborhood she reiterated were at work.”
“When the wife of the deceased came to their compound and asked her in order to be permitted to cut some tree leaves as herds that his husband is not feeling well and affecting from common cold, “she said. Omar Kinteh, the decease is said had married to a Gambian lady for 10 years now, but they had no children.
