The students of St Augustine Senior Secondary School on Friday toured various places within the greater Banjul area as part excursion.
And the places included the high court, registry, waiting room, principal register, judge’s office, the Gambia Sharia court of appeal, criminal court, and the National Assembly building.
Speaking to the pupils at the high court of The Gambia lawyer Omar .A. Jammeh, described excursion as important as it helps students to improve their learning.
“According to the law even you are the principal of St. Augustine or you are the president of the Gambia normally when you are faulty, you will be dealt accordingly,” he said.
he added: “The perpetrators are going to be punish and the victims will be reworded for the record, when you come first, some just be given a blinds eyes and said don’t do that why am here I am I having truth or am having fault on me you know that yourself that is it.”
Joe Jatta, who speaks for the St Augustine students said: “This tour or excursion is very nice because today I have witness a lot of experience about the high court and the national assembly, we have learned a lot.”
According to the students, this is their first time going on tour at the National Assembly, urging his fellow students to learn to know their country well.
