Sabach Sanjal Legislator held quarterly constituency meeting

National Assembly member for Sabach Sanjal has held a quarterly constituency meeting with electorate, to discuss about development challenges and political reconciliation meeting held at Mbapa Mariga of Sabach Sanjal in the North Bank Region.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon. Ousman Touray noted that the meeting is in fulfillment of constitutional mandate of which National Assembly Members are to held meetings with electorate, in order to create platform for peoples to openly discussed things that would foster mutual understanding.

He said the meetings is the first of kind for the constituency to undertaken by sitting National Assembly Member, simply it help him to have better understanding of peoples development needs.

He explained that the outcomes of the constituency meetings help to table people development challenges, during budget sessions and also engage other development donor partners to respond to the development needs of people.

Hon. Touray lamented that inadequate water supply, poor road network, electricity expansion, gully erosion in Mbapa Mariga and strengthening of security and health sectors to improve and protect lives of peoples.

He uses the moment to launch an appeal for farmers to be supported with small ruminant and poultry project, as due to water problem women find it difficult to venture in to vegetable garden.

Sainabou Mbye of Mbapa Mariga noted that the meetings promote mutual understanding and cooperation among peoples in Sabach Sanjal. She praised Hon. Touray for championing development issues of the district and noted that the initiative has no political connection and as politic is over it is now time to join hands to develop the area.
