Dutch Gives D200, 000 to Jam Jam Nursery

Jam Jam Nursery School in Tabokoto, Saturday received donated items amounting to two hundred dalasi {D200, 000} from a Dutch philanthropists, held at the school ground.

The ceremony was attributed with drumming, singing and dancing by students, parents and residents from the community.

Representing the Kanifing Municipality, Musa Badjie a nominated Councilor said the country is growing rapidly in terms of population, describing education as expensive.

Mr Jaye Baldeh, heed teacher said: “the school was established in 1998 and the main purpose was to cater for the needs of a nursery school in the community.”

He assured the donors that the donated materials will be taken care of and maintained. Mr Baldeh also appeals to the government and philanthropist to come forward to assist the school as they are confronting so many problems at the school.

The donors who hailed from Holland namely Joyce, Teo and John were all profoundly happy for the gratitude’s they received and promised to do more to uplift the standard of the school.
