Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry has launched a new technology dubbed point click for the national development plan wed platform.
This platform will serve as an essential tool to provide information to the general public on the NDP Implementation process he explains.
Representing the minister of finance permanent secretary Lamin Camara said the National Development Plan 2018/2020 in February this year’s.
“The NDP was formulated through a very participatory approach including consultations with different stakeholders,” he said.
According to him, the plan clearly articulates the development priorities of the country for the period 2018/2020.
He said the government continues to broaden and deepen the participation of all stakeholders in the implementation, monitoring evaluation of the plan.
He said: “The successful implementation of the plan requires effective communication, this will enhance the understanding of the general population, enhance their ownership and engagement.”
He said this will give the opportunity to the general public and Gambian in the Diaspora to document whether or not NDP supported activities have an reliable information on what happened ,a focus on tracking results of government performance would be impossible.
He said the successful implementation of the NDP wed platform will no doubt contribute significantly in the achievement of key nation development goals.
