Marie Therese – a mother of one of the April 10/11 victims has demand justice from the government for her late son.
Claesco Pierra was shot death with dozens others by riot security in 2000 under ex-president Jammeh, leaving many other injured.
Marie Therese, who was addressing a gathering observing December 1 as national democracy day at the faculty of law said ex-president Jammeh and his enablers should be held accountable before eyes of the law.
But she urged the Barrow-led government to probe thorough investigation into the tragedy scene and bring the perpetrators to justice, urging the regime to strengthen democracy and good governance.
She explained: “It was a morning when I was going to work in Banjul, just arriving at the school shortly I was inform about the sudden death of my son”
