BFoTG, Belgian organization has donated medical equipments to New Yundum Health Centre aimed at easing health facility in the community.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Officer-In-charge of the New Yundum Health Center, Madam Adama Jobarteh commended their Belgian friends for the generosity they are rendering to the community.
“You are the true friends of New Yundum Health Centre and your contribution towards Gambia’s health sector cannot go un-noticed by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and The Government of the Gambia in particular,” she said.
She promised her Belgian friends that the medical items presented to her institution will be fully utilized thus to benefit the targeted beneficiaries within and outside West Coast Region.
Madam Jobarteh appealed to her donors to come to the aid of her institution by helping her institution with an ambulance and delivery room, adding that the location of New Yundum Health Centre is crucial.
OIC Jobarteh used the opportunity to commend her medical staff for their untiring efforts in making sure that the patients coming into New Yundum Health Center (YHC) receive proper medical care.
Madam Jobarteh, on behalf of the staff extended her sincere thanks and appreciation to their Belgian friends through the organization’s chairman and his wife, Patrick de Vos and Christa, respectively for their contribution to the wellbeing of the future leaders of this country.
Christa de Vos, on his part commended the Officer-In-Charge of the New Yundum Health Center, Madam Jobarteh for being wonderful friends to their organization for the past years.
According to Madam Christa de Vos, her organization has not regretted of being made friendship with the Health Center administration of New Yundum, noting that health condition should be everybody’s concern.
She promised the Health Center administration that their organization will look into their plights seriously in order to make the Health Center to have a proud health facility within the region.
