The Gambia Football Federation, GFF, wishes to inform the general public that following series of reminders and follow-ups to the protest that we lodged against the eligibility of Togolese player Adewale James Olufade/Adewale Oloufade in the AFCON qualifier match away in Lome, the Confederation of African Football, CAF, has finally responded to our correspondences.
In a letter dated 25th December 2018, CAF said it has acknowledged receipt of our most recent correspondence dated 19th December 2018 and would like to inform us that the continental body has finally opened an investigation into the matter.
CAF added that once all needed information is received and gathered, the case will be submitted to its Disciplinary Board.
The GFF once again thanked the general public for its patience and understanding on this matter.
We also wish to reassure that we’ll leave no stone unturned in ensuring that justice is served on this matter and any other matter concerning the development of Gambian football.
