Kerr Ngor Nyan Youth Development Association in Jokadou held its third Annual General Meeting (AGM) and assured their commitment in supporting rural education, Kerr Ngor Nyan.
Omar N Ndure, the chairman of the youth association noted that the AGM is the very key in promoting governance and accountability.
“The association is working hard to fence the community cemetery whilst annually creating fire belt around and general cleansing exercise in the community,” he said.
Samba Ndure called on the youths to foster unity and cooperation on the implementation of rural development plan.
He expressed delight on the high level of participation of youths in providing human resource development in the provinces, citing the provision of extra classes and learning materials to the schools.
Muhammed Ndure, the outgoing Secretary General of the Association said that the furniture worthy of D22, 000 and textbooks of D15, 000 were donated to the school to improve learning and teaching aid, and by extension contribute to the attainment of quality education.
He added that: “The Association held their second edition of speech and prize giving ceremony for Lower Basic Schools and ECD to boost morale of students.”
