As part of effort to equipped youth and women with skills, knowledge and attitude in becoming successful entrepreneurs, National Enterprise Development Initiative (NEDI) has developed a step-by-step business plan manual for entrepreneurs.
The manual is designed for start-ups entrepreneurs with requisite business ideas backed by at least five days training on entrepreneurship and enterprise management to use this guide in developing their business plan.
Managers Prescription Consultancy Services was contracted to develop the manual with funding from Youth Empowerment Project (YEP).
The rationale of coming up with the material, according to officials is to complement ongoing training and capacity building efforts of partners and stakeholders.
The guide is user friendly, precise and concise consisting of six basic elements of a business plan containing 34 pages and 17 structured deliverables sessions in 5 days using “business plan clinic based approach” popularized by NEDI during the last five years.
It is self-tutorial and explanatory that entrepreneurs after having gone through five days training on business management training can use this guide in coming up with his\her business plan for possible funding.
Preparation of this guide has gone through a vigorous process including validation by stakeholders in the SME sector chiefly, trainers, mentors, entrepreneurs, etc.
NEDI as an institution believed it may not have the requisite resources in training all its clients (youth) but coming up with this important resource will complement its efforts and that of partners in terms of equipping youth with skills, knowledge and attitude in becoming successful entrepreneur.
NEDI thanks Youth Empowerment Project (YEP), Managers Prescription Consultancy Services and partners namely; GYCC, NYC, GYIN and NYSS for their supports and efforts.
