In an effort to further promote performing arts and entrepreneurship, Flex Fuzion Entertainment in collaboration with the National Center for Arts and Culture is set to launch and stage its ever first dancing competition.
The launching of the competition which will also help youth discover and promote their talents is slated for 2nd February, 2019 at Ebunjan Theater.
Ndey Fatou Jabang, Chief Executive Officer, Flex Fuzion Entertainment and Dance Academy gave a brief background of the academy. The academy, according to her, was set up to manage talent dancers and dancing is an important part of entertainment industry not only in The Gambia but worldwide.
She disclosed that the dancing competition is meant to have national champions and also to promote culture, tourism, and performing arts in the country as the main of objective of the event is to bring youths under one platform for entrepreneurship workshop training.
On the training side, she said Flex Fuzion Entertainment and Dance Academy will have six weeks dancing training for youths apart from winning prizes.
Matty Jobe of NCAC expressed the center’s delight on the dancing competition especially that it is one of the NCAC mandates – to promote Gambia culture through performing arts which including dance, music, films, fashions and writing.
She thanked the CEO of Flex Fuzion Entertainment and Dance Academy and her team for the good initiative and as well assured them of NCAC full support for a successful event.
