Ousainou Darboe, Secretary General of United Democratic Party (UDP) has promised President Adama Barrow that UDP is behind him to ensure that the National Development Plan is achieve.
“I want to promise President Barrow the UDP is behind him to ensure that the National Development Plan, NDP is achieve we are behind you inch and inch. Anybody who wants to be an obstacle to the progress of the NDP just pushes aside and leaves us with that person,” Darboe told a political rally in Gunjur village of Kombo South District in West Coast Region on Saturday.
He added: “We will dealt with anyone because the UDP will not sit and watch your intentions for this country that you want to fulfil through the NDP failed. We will not accept that. We want to transform this country into a middle income in the next five years”
He stressed that UDP’s interest is Gambia’s progress. The job President Barrow has done in Brussels to convince the international community everybody knows that.
“When he returns he made it very clear that his then Minister of Finance, Amadou Sanneh, Lamin Dibba, minister of lands and Foreign Affairs Minister Ousainou Darboe. So that NDP anyone who is UDP you should put your live on the line to ensure that what President Barrow want in that National Development Plan is realise,”
