ST Engages Diplomats on   Music Development

Following his history for been the first Gambian musician to jam-pack the independence stadium during the launching of his latest album ‘Saluto’ ST Da Gambian Dream, also popularly known as Brikama Boyo, and recently engaged the diplomatic missions in Gambia on youth empowerment in the area of art and music development.

The awards wining ST Singhateh on 26 January, 2019 won the Wah Sa Halat Awards for the third time in his career

At 2019 Wah Sa Halat Awards night at the Kairaba Beach Hotel, he went home with   three awards namely; Rap/hip-hop artist of the Year, Artist of the Year and Event of the Year which can be attributed to Saluto, his last album.

Recently he posted on  his Facebook page that: “This morning, I joined the British High Commissioner in Banjul Her Excellency Sharon Wardle for coffee…..As the biggest artist in the country, it’s important to engages relevant stakeholders and partners towards the development of music and arts in our country”

He added: “Music has the power to bridge boundaries across nations for the good of our society. I briefed her about our current and upcoming projects and we discussed about the state of the music industry in the country such as the daily struggles artists’ go through in terms of support for production, international collaborations and event staging.”

He pointed out that he will continue to engage more partners and stakeholders in rallying for support for music to reach higher heights.

Brikama Boyo also met with Public Affairs Officer at the US Embassy in Banjul Kathryn Edwards and they discussed the important roles play by artistes in society and the needs for much wider stakeholder collaboration.

“We discussed about our projects which includes the upcoming Saluto tour and the launching of our foundation to promote community development and involvement in participatory initiatives,” he pointed out.

Public Affairs Officer Kathryn Edwards held discussions with a popular Gambian artiste, Sanna Singhateh, who goes by the stage name ST. Brikama Boyo. The two discussed youth empowerment and art and music development in The Gambia. With a career spanning 10 years, ST Da Gambian Dream. is a professional artiste with a huge following”, US Embassy in Banjul  said  on its Facebook Page.
