Alieu Darboe, councilor for Kembujeng ward in West Coast Region (WCR) has called on Gambia people especially residents of Kembujeng ward to pay their taxes to enable the council execute its functions as expected.
He informed member of press at Brikama Kabafita Lower Basic School on Monday that for the council to perform up to expectation there is need for the general public to pay their taxes as expected of them. “This will help the council to execute its duty without limited or minimal function,” he noted
Highlighting on the development ongoing in his ward, Mr. Darboe revealed that he is striving harder to fulfill the promises he has made before voted-in, such as presenting some items to Brikama Health Centre. Among other his assistance to the ward, he helped the Kembujeng village to commenced work on their borehole project to add it to the one they already got.
He affirmed that he might not be able to help everyone financially but he can come up with ideas that can develop the ward. Among other his assistance to the ward is contributing to the youth empowerment and schools in surround, contributing to sports activities, took part in the rehabilitations of Misirra and Weligara villages’ roads among other development activities.
