Ras Emmanuel& Until That Day Foundation has donated a learning materials and second hand clothes to Gambian school and community in the Kanifing Municipal Council recently.
The learning materials includes 300 books, 300 pencils, 200 pens 200 colors pencil and second hand clothes were handover to Principal of Ibrahim Bilingual Nursery School in Kotu.
Nfalleh Ceesay, Principal of Ibrahim Bilingual Nursery School commended the donors for make a huge contribution in shaping the future generation.
He added: “We are very thankful with the donations to the school through Ebrima Jatta from Ras Emmanuel the beginning looked promising, we hope that we will receive more in future. We will make sure these materials will be put into good use by the school”
He commended those that contributed toward the donated materials to reach in Africa.
Ebrima Jatta, manager of Ras Emmanuel& Until That Day Foundation said he feels honor to receive these materials and distribute it to school and the community.
He commended Ras Emmanuel, Sista Tasha for giving back to Africa, saying this will continue putting smile on African children and community.
Ras Emmanuel, a Jamaican reggae Ambassador based in New Jersey US said he is delighted to give back to Africa in the area of education and supporting community empowerment.
He explained that his mission in Africa is to motivate and inspire younger generation about the importance of education, noting that is the only way that poverty can be eradicated.
“The journey continues Africa is the future if our younger generation learning the latest techniques, my philosophy is to give back to Africa not to take from Africa,” he said.
He urged Africa in Diaspora to always think about Africa by coming home to interact with people in a way to put innovative ideas about Africa growth to higher heights.
