Media Academy for Journalism and Communication on Saturday swore in its first ever student executive into office for a period of one year, held at the School campus in Bakau New Town.
The ceremony was graced by the Managing Director of the School, Mr. Sang Mendy and a number of students of the school.
MAJaC held a congress and elected its student executive a week ago and they included-Mustapha Ceesay, President of MAJaC SU, Kaddy Cham, Vice President, Muhammed S Bah, Secretary General, Binta Bah, Minister of Finance, Adama Makasuba, Minister of Education and Research , Mariama Cham, Minister of Information, Banna Sabally, Auditor, Sally Jeng, Assistant Secretary General.
In his congratulatory remarks, Mustapha Ceesay, president of MAJaC Student Union, expressed delight to the students and administration of the school for their support to ensuring the union comes to reality first time in the history of the school.
He reaffirmed to fulfill his promises while called on students to put all hands on deck in developing the school, adding that the door of his cabinet is open both the students and administration.
Mr. Ceesay said: “We are here to reaffirm that all the promises made that we will ensure that we would made a reality.”
He congratulated Juldeh Njie, a presidential contender saying ‘there is no division among the students of MAJaC’.
