UDP Militant Slams Majanko over Freedom Online Radio Interview

By: Sulayman Waan

Bakary S. S. Jadama, United Democratic Party (UDP) militant has described Mr. Majanko Samusa, elected leader for the suspended National Conventional Party (NCP) as a politician with inconsistency.

“Majanko Samusa, is inconsistence, undesirable element, and floating politician whose political biography is known by many Gambian. He’s with the NCP, Alliance for Patriotic Re-orientation and Construction party (APRC) and UDP,” he told The Voice in an interview as he reacted to Mr. Samusa’s statement on Freedom Online Radio where he attacked former VP Ousainou Darboe and sacked colleagues.

Jadama who walked in to The Voice office on Saturday   stated that “Samusa is political ignorant, he has no political educational background and he’s without moral.” He went ont that “he’s hypocrite because he belongs to no political party at the moment but only trying to attach himself to President Barrow’s Youth For National Development.”

According to him, recently, Mr. Samusa granted interview to Freedom Online Radio where he [Samusa] alleged that the ex VP Ousainou Darboe, Hon Lamin Dibba and Dr. Amadou Sanneh are self-centered people that cannot deliver well in President Barrow led administration.

Jadama however described Samusa’s allegation to the UDP leaders as baseless and unfounded and said the NCP leader blasted the UDP leaders because he wants President Barrow to recognise him as his supporter.

Jadama enunciated Mr Samusa as a self-centered person because he’s been floating from one political party to another. He was once with NCP he betrayed the late Hon. Mustapha Dibba and shifted his allegiance to APRC and later to UDP.

Speaking wrathfully to this medium he said “Majanko Samusa fails to understand that UDP is the biggest political party in The Gambia and has high caliber of dignitaries and well dedicated potential resourceful person from different aspects.”

He didn’t stop at that as he added that UDP leader, Ousainou Darboe, is a very respectful person who regarded Samusa as a political prostitute and he does not have time to respond to his (Samusa) unfounded stories.

He revealed that the problem between UDP and President Barrow is owing to the fact that Mr. Barrow wants to form a political party within UDP militants, which UDP leaders well understood and this resulted to a political antagonism among them. And now, he said, the President decided and wiped them out from his government.

He noted that if Gambians cannot thank Hon. Darboe for his efforts for the country then no one should belittle and humiliate him just for political antagonism. He quickly added that the Gambia President has the power to hire and fire any executive member for national interest but not for his political interest.
