Bojang Describes Dou Sannoh as ‘Political Puppet’

By: Lamin B. Darboe

The United Democratic Party (UDP) National Youth Secretary General describes, Dou Sannoh the close aide to President Adama Barrow as a political puppet whose political agenda totally lacks merit and full of false remarks.

Kemo Bojang was speaking to our reporter over the weekend as he was responding to the remarks made by Dou Sannoh which was published by local newspaper recently and quoted as: “the very people President Barrow saved from jail have betrayed him”.  However Bojang told The Voice that, it is an insult that Dou Sannoh inflicted onto all Gambians, explained that it was Gambians who voted for December, 2016 Presidential election made those people to be released from Prison not Barrow as falsely claimed by Dou Sannoh.

It was Adama Barrow himself who said on GRTS-TV during his early days in office as President, that he does visit Darboe and Co. while they were at Mile 2 Central Prison. Why he (Barrow) did not free them during those visits he made to them? Bojang quizzed Dou Sannoh.

He then said Dou Sannoh is a political puppet who ignored the reality on the grounds. He also noted that he (Dou Sannoh) failed Gambians by not giving them the credits for the release of those people he was referring to but instead gave credits to Barrow who did not deserves it.

He further said that Dou Sannoh is looking for fame within the political landscape of the Gambia which he (Sannoh) will never get because he failed woefully in recognizing the efforts of Gambians in December, 2016 Presidential elections.

In view of Dou Sannoh’s comment, he went on saying that it was bogus.  Thus stressing that power belong to the people but not the President, that was the reason why the Gambians went out in December, 2016 Presidential election to vote for the change and that change led to the liberation of those people he was referring to not Barrow as an ordinary person by then.

“Those people who were released after December, 2016 Presidential elections were the bonafide citizens of The Gambia whose political agenda for the past 22 years was to see Gambia free from dictatorship rule,” he explained.

This was what UDP National Youth Secretary General, Kemo Bojang said: “It is now known to all Gambians and even non-Gambians living within and outside the country that betrayed the UDP leadership and will continue to betray even the country day-by-day and month-by-month.

In addition, Bojang said that Dou Sannoh have to apologize to Gambians for his robust remarks against them (Gambians).  He stressed that; he (Dou Sannoh’s) has eye service of politics will never hold water in any part of The Gambia.

He also reminded Dou and his team who went on a countrywide tour recently that giving money to people cannot move Gambians anymore. He then added that Gambians are fully aware of their Constitutional rights and freedom.
