De-Link Foundation Support 110 Children

De-link foundation in collaboration with Samaritan purse Based in US and other non-governmental organizations like SOS recently launched a support for children between the ages of 2-14 in Ebo town community in the Kanifing municipality

De-link foundation is non-governmental organization that solely depend on donors funds and founded by Khadiyatu Kamara who also doubles as the president of the foundation.

She studied social work at Stratford College of Management in The Gambia, upon completion of her course she worked at MRC wherein she did her placement.

“During my stay at the MRC, I met with different people from different backgrounds facing different challenges that are one factor that prompted me to start this organization wherein I can help to contribute to the development of the country.”

She said social work have not gain prominence in Africa, not many people know of its important, we work with vulnerable children by trying all means in rehabilitating them back to the society.

“I want to do more I want to help these children,” she promised.

She highlighted that the foundation seek support from donors, generous people that are ready to work with local organization like De-link, saying that they cannot do all these alone.

The country coordinator of the Samaritan purse, Alex, said their aim is to reach the less privilege children in the four corners of the Gambia.

He added that:  “We are not religion bias we help children not considering their religious believes. We are working in partnership with organizations like SOS. We support these children by given them moral classes.”
