AL- MANARATUL ISLAMIA KEREWAN ARABIC SCHOOL HELD 13TH GRADUATION

Al- Manaratul Islamia Kerewan Arabic School held it 13th graduation ceremony of grade 9th students at the school ground over the weekend in Kerewan North Bank Region.

The graduation was held under the   Theme:  “Important of Islamic Education Inhuman Development to bring about positive behaviour change in Society.” The school is the first Arabic school in Kerewan and since its establishment enrolment has increase couple with impressive performance of students.

The school authority commended Regional Education Directorate Region 3 for the support and also their constant monitoring and supervisory visit to ensure compliance towards the attainment of quality education is achieved.

Guest Speaker, Sheikh Malamin Kebba Fatty revealed that AMANA Education secretariat and Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education are promoting the teaching of bilingual education, noting that it would contribute and improve human resource development

He calls on the grandaunts to be committed to pursue their education at higher level, noting that it would help them to occupy professional positions in society.

Sheikh Fatty urged outgoing students to be goodwill Ambassadors of the school, while calls on   parents to fulfil their responsibilities.

Alagie Jawara a teacher who delivered a statement on behalf of Principal Malang Manneh said the school has registered tremendous achievement in the past grade9th examination  while  most of them were able to secured admission in a high schools.

He said the school enrolment increase with 6,673student registered between 2011 -2019 and out of that 294 graduated and some are now enrolled at Gambia College and other tertiary institutions.

He commended Kerewan One Family for their invaluable support to the school, including provision, 60 furniture, 40 tables, repainting of school and a toilet facility, under the dynamic leadership of one Dembo Hydara.

He noted that the support has improve teaching and learning and create conducive learning environment for students and teachers.

Alh. Dembo Fula Ceesay chairman of the school management committee calls for concert efforts from parents and teachers for the development of the school in term of academic performance,

. He reiterated the need for maximum support and challenge outgoing students to be committed to further their education.

The introduction of English language by AMANA Secretariat has also enable students to learnt Arabic and in a more competitive manner.
