GRA Develops Corporate Strategic Plan 2020- 2024

The Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) has developed a four years corporate strategic plan (CSP) recently at   a two days forum held at Senegambia Beach Hotel.

The   strategic plan is meant to give direction and serve as a mandate for the revenue administration.

Yankuba Darboe, Commissioner General of GRA commended the achievements registered by the authority in terms of operational efficiency organizational strength and partnership with stakeholders, noting that there is still a lot of room for improvement.

According to him, the strategic plan goals and objectives which are seen as a major challenge in the course of implementing the existing strategic plan.

He noted that at the completion of this strategic plan is all businesses of the authority and must be a reflection of implementing strategic plan objectives.

“The GRA management will also ensure that only strategic plan activities are provided with resources during budget execution and will make accountable and to any strategic plan activity and they are expected to deliver. Management will also make sure that strategic plan activities are not only implemented but also adequately and properly reported,” Darboe said.

Mr Malamin Sanyang, Director of Technical Services  GRA said that with this new strategic plan GRA will be transform into a modern revenue administration which is an indication that business will never be the same.

He said the strategic plan will develop and implement procedures and processes of the revenue laws and policies.
