The Gambia Government will formally release the much-awaited Janneh Commission Report on the financial activities of former President Yahya Jammeh at a news conference on Friday.
In a press release signed Ebrima G Sankareh, The Gambia Government Spokesperson revealed that The Gambia Government will also release its White Paper; a 93-page dossier based on the findings and recommendations of the 1600 page Janneh Commission Report.
The Secretary General President’s Office, Mr. Muhammed B. S.Jallow will deliver a brief statement while The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mr Abubacarr Baa Tambedou will lead the discussions. The Minister Information and Telecommunication Infrastructure, Mr Ebrima Sillah, will equally participate in the press conference with journalists.
The highlight of the press conference will be the D100 million accrued from the proceeds of Yahya Jammeh’s cattle and domestic articles as well as the D1 billion from his forfeited landed properties.
The ceremony will be chaired by The Gambia Government Spokesperson; Ebrima G. Sankareh will be at The Attorney General’s Chambers Conference Hall in Banjul.
