The National Centre for Arts and Culture (NCAC) alongside other Gambia delegates to the just concluded China International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 held in Beijing China has once again made the country proud in China during the Gambia’s Day celebrated at the Gambia’s Garden at the Expo village during the exhibition.
The Gambia’s Day celebration during the China International Horticultural Exhibition was witnessed by different dignitaries which included Commissioners, Gambian Ambassador at Large, Gambian Charge D’ Affairs at the Gambian Embassy in People’s Republic of China among others.
Celebrating the Gambia’s Day in Beijing on 20th September, 2019 Fatou Kineh Jobe, Charge D’ Affairs at the Gambian Embassy in People’s Republic of China addressed the gathering, while Momodou Mbye Jabang, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture delivered keynote address. Saibo Tunkara, Commissioner General of the Expo gave the welcoming remarks also Mariama Bittaye Trade Promotion Officer under Business and Export Development Department – GIEPA, official of Gambia Tourism Board among others made presentations on destination Gambia.
Among activities marked the Gambia’s Day was cultural performance organized by the National Centre for Arts and Culture featured Matarr Jeng, Xalam player, Demba Sallah, Riti player, Bakary Mbye, Kora player.
