President Adama Barrow has sent a message of congratulation to his Nigerian counterpart, President Muhammad Buhari on celebrations marking the 59th anniversary of its National Day.
The message made available The Voice Tuesday: “It is with great pleasure that I extend to Your Excellency, on behalf of the Government and People of the Republic of The Gambia and indeed on my own behalf, sincerest and warmest congratulations and best wishes of progress and prosperity to the Government and People of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
President Barrow used the opportunity to reiterate his personal commitment to the reinforcement of the excellent relations of friendship, brotherhood, and cooperation between the two countries for the mutual benefit of their peoples. He reiterated his commitment to the consolidation of peace, stability, and security in our sub-region and the African Continent as a whole.
“While renewing my profound and sincere congratulations, please accept, Your Excellency and Dear Brother, the assurances of my highest consideration and fraternal esteem,” The message concludes.
