UDP stalwart explains how she was terrorized at NIA

A woman who was terrorized by the notorious National Intelligent Agency has explained how members of the United Democratic Party were brutalized.

Fatoumatta Camara, a UDP stalwart was among the dozens of United Democratic Party arrested and detained for nearly a year for calling for an electoral reform.

“They beat me and beat me until I fainted, I was totally unconscious and they took me and poured cold water on me. As soon as I came back to consciousness I found myself lying in the grass,” she told the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission on Thursday.

She said: “when I went to the bathroom all what I urinated was blood, for 15 goods days all what I was urinating blood. After that the doctor came again and told I came here to inject if not your blood will exhaust otherwise I will die of blood lost,”

She added that: “they put a bag over my head and dragged me to another location and placed me on table bed, a man asked me we are asking you who sent you to do this, and I replied I was going to a marriage ceremony. He called a name Haruna to bring the sticks, he asked me to open my mouth, I refused, and he asked other to hold my hands and legs.”

She after she was beaten by the personnel of the National Intelligent Agency until she went unconscious

When I started calling God’s name and they heard me calling they came again and started to beat me again, I demanded water and as soon one man brought me water  another man kicked  the cup of water and kicked me until went on the floor.
