The Belgian friends of The Gambia (BFoTG) who are in the country have undertaking renovation exercise of six classroom blocks with tune of D850, 000 at Jambangjelly Nursery School.
During the exercise they will remove the present entire wooden roofs and replace them with brand new iron rods while the Aluminium corrugated iron sheets will be use for roofing of the entire six classroom blocks.
Jambangjelly Nursery School according to Patrick de Vos is among 14 Schools which Belgian Friends of The Gambia (BFoTG) are presently sponsoring for more than ten years now.
“After putting both new roofs and Aluminium corrugated iron sheets we will also undertake to renovate the entire six classroom blocks with paints,” Mr. Vos informed our reporter.
“Our purpose of the renovation exercise he added is to make the School structures change in order for the students to get better learning environment,” he added.
He called on the Headmaster of the School and his teachers to always put the interest of the students first by delivering quality education to them.
Patrick de Vos on behalf of the entire membership of the Belgian friends of the Gambia (BFoTG) based in Belgium and the Gambia sent their profound gratitude to all and sundry for the concern they have for the Gambians children.
He described their intervention in the areas of education, health and agriculture as a worthy course which every deserving human-being need to follow.
According to him, their area of interventions is paramount in any country’s development agendas this is why their organization is focusing in those areas.
He commended their Gambian counterparts in the names of the Headmistress of Nyodema Nursery School, Madam Mariama Darboe, Omar Bojang and Muhammed Baldeh among others for standing beside them whenever they arrived in the country.
