Masirreh Bojang, a 90 year old born in Jambur on Wednesday told the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission slept on the floor while in Kololi and was not provided with a mat.
She said after she drank the concoction, she had stomach ache and she is still suffering with that problem. “We were forced to drink the concoction and they filled the cup up.’’
She further testified that she did not know those who abducted her, adding that after she had drank the concoction she rolled on the ground because of her stomach pain.
On whether they were provided with food while in Kololi, she responded that in the negative, saying that she was released as a result of someone’s death in the village.
Bojang also said she is not capable of farming much more of selling groundnut, nothing that her entire body is paining and affected.
Madame Bojang told the commission that she later heard from people that those that were taken to Kololi were the witches and was even jokingly told by her grandchildren that she is a witch.
Deputy Lead Counsel, Horejah Bala Gaye thanked her for her determination to testify.
Momodou Kah Bojang testified that he was born in Jambur and a driver but prior to that, he was a farmer. He said in 2009, some people came into the village but he did not go to them, but as he went to the Fula shop, the witch hunters told him that he should be cured and he told them that he was not sick.
According to him, he was warned by witch hunters that he is an elder in the village and should not resisted going. He said the eldest in Jamburand was taken away by soldiers and the green boys to drink medicine, adding that the people who abducted him told him that they were sent by the former president Yahya Jammeh.
Mr Bojang testified that at the time of his abduction, none of his family members were present. They took him from the shop but was not beaten, neither insulted.
He told the commission that he was later informed by soldiers it was Akalo Kabba Juju Bojang, who led them to Jambur
He said they brought them food but he did not eat, revealing that after he drank the concoction, he was ask to removed his cloths and they washed his body staring from his waist down to his head.
Mr Bojang stated that the concoction was not bitter but it bothered him a lot as he was constantly urinating, adding that he did not also knew where he was.
He said after he became conscious, they were asked to go, and after his released he was not well and frequent urine did not stopped, revealing that from his legs to waist is also paining him
He said because he was accused to be a witch they called him Alagie Kololi and he is still angry because what happened to him should not have happened.
