TAFCON has announced plan to delivering 1million affordable homes in sub-Sharan Africa in the next two decades to come.
Speaking at a news conference at Dalaba, Mustapha Njie proprietor of the company said: “ during TAFCON, we will be signing a memorandum of understanding with Shelter Afrique as our financial partners in our vision to delivering 1million affordable homes in sub-Saharan Africa over the next 20 years, in which some projects will be launched within the next few months.”
My passion for youth leadership and development has resulted in the establishment of Taf Leadership Academy, a yearlong training for tertiary level students to be able to harness their leadership skills, he added.
He said they are expecting over 1000 participants in their event which will be held under the theme “The Gambia’s performance in the world of borders without boundaries” adding ‘how the Gambia can better develop its tourism sector, Gender and women empowerment as well as utilizing information Technology to develop our key sectors.’
According to him, TAF Start- Up Pitching contest will seek to support young Gambian entrepreneurs with finance and mentorship to grow their businesses while expressed gratitude to all their customers and partners both here and Nigeria for their tremendous work.
General Manager of Taf , Ya Bajen Njie said: “Taf African Global Gambia is in partnership with three local banks namely Trust Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank and Ecobank Gambia Ltd in providing mortgage finance options to their customers on 10 years tenor, adding that 25% equity contribution and at a record low interest rate of 13% per annum on local currency mortgages.”
