Sainey Camara, a staff at department of social welfare who spoke to the voice in an interview on Thursday has said persons with disability have rights in decision making process.
“People need to change their attitude, concept that they have towards persons with disabilities. This is a condition which can happen to anyone, at any moment nobody is immune to it,” he said.
According to him, a bill on persons with disabilities will should be enacted as soon as possible adding “If that happen the convention on the rights of persons with disability will be promoted and respected once that is done we will have equal society”, he alluded.
He urged other disabilities out that to abstain themselves from begging on the streets, that let them believe in themselves, learn skills and prove society they are also part contributing to national development.
