Saihou Balajo has been basked in joy after being made the country’s newest millionaire by Gambia’s biggest GSM company, Africell.
The handing over ceremony was held at Africell headquarters on Kairaba Avenue, where a totalled number of 35 men and women benefitted in the company’s cash bonanza.
Other winners include Haddy Mbaye wining D10.000, Fatou Chorr received D15.000 and Modou Lamin Jarju received D20.000.
Speaking at the ceremony, newest millionaire of Africell Saihou Balajo expressed delight for being made a millionaire by Africell.
“As staff of Helping to Make a Difference, I am planning to spend half of the money on the organisation as charity to help the needy and people outside,” he said.
George Jesuorobo and Halimatou Jallow Jesuorobo both parents to Mr Balajo expressed gratitude to Africell, assuring to judiciously use the money.
Musa Sise, Africell’s cooperate affairs said: “this is not something that happens daily but, in the life, and sorts of Africell, it is something they live to retell and shall continue to produce millionaires as they continue to exist in the Gambia.”
“Africell has been a life changing institute in the Gambia and many has benefited adding that, over 3million dalasi was distributed in a fourth night,” he added.
Africell operation manager, Ousaine Diab described Africell as more than a company or an institution that provide telecommunication services to customer, saying “we are here to not only to enter lives and homes of individual but also change those people lives and we will continue to renew.”
