Jahanka Amsterdam enterprise has giving material support to Gambia Prison Services that aimed to help prison inmates have better living conditions.
The materials include 129 chairs, 10 office tables, 1 cupboard, 3 television, 100 mattresses and 120 Blankets. It amounts to three hundred, six thousand and eight hundred dalasi. D (306,800.00)
Speaking at the handing over ceremony, Gambia Prison Services spokesman Spt. Momodou Lamin Ceesay expressed appreciation for the support, assuring the donor’s to judiciously use the materials.
“These items will go a long way in helping reform process at the department of prison services with the much-needed surprise gesture for the prison department,” he said.
Spokesman for the enterprise Musa Surr expressed his enterprise gratitude for providing support to prison inmates.
He said the objective of his company is to support the vulnerable and neediest in the country.
Malick Ceesay said the Gambia prison services worthy of support in a bid to address the condition of the prison, adding that his company will continue to contribute its quarter toward upgrading the prison of the Department.
Louse Mosse Mendy and Alieu Ceesay both use the opportunity to commend the donors for this magnificence gesture as they urged Gambian to emulate the donor for taking up this bold step.
