The Nobles-a group of trios of Gambian musical rapper are planning to launch three music albums in April this year.
The group last year toured some African countries like Senegal, Nigeria and Guinea Bissau, has described 2019 as one of the greatest years for Gambian music.
Last year’s tour was aimed to explore their talents and advertising Gambian music to the world and establish connections with some international musicians.
Speaking at a news conference on Wednesday, the group’s manager Ismaila Bajan said: “the nobles has signed a label in Nigeria but in the Gambia, last year, they had only one show,” citing last year’s single show to the group’s rebranding process and promoting Gambian music to the world.
Muhammed Jallow, Nobles’ chair-taker said: “it has not been easy journey for the group since they started their music but now, they can dictate the environment where they belong.”
Pablo, a member artist of Nobles, said they have made lots of connections in Nigeria, Guinea Bissau and Senegal and “pushed the Gambian music to bigger plat forms noting that they had a big collaboration with one of the biggest artists in Nigeria.”
Aya and T. Berry, both member artist described the tour as a successful one, adding “the Gambian music is not yet spread in Africa talk less of Europe.”
