A newly formed charitable apolitical organization called “Sulayman Sawaneh Foundation for Needy” on Thursday donated motor wheelchair and a Crutch to Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul.
The organization on the same day also presented a brand new air condition to the “Center for the Street Children and Child Trafficking Studies” (CSCCTS) at a ceremony held at the Center’s campus in Bakoteh.
Presenting the items on behalf of Sulayman Sawaneh, CEO “Sulayman Sawaneh Foundation” for the Needy (SSFN), Sankung Dibbassy highlighted some of the donations made by CEO Sawaneh for the past years at EFSTH.
“Sawaneh is doing his contribution towards nation building and his contribution touches every sectors within Government and even beyond The Gambia,” Dibbassy informed EFSTH officials.
This kind of gesture CEO Sawaneh is doing in the country Dibbassy went on is something Gambians needs to embrace, adding that he got these items for Gambians in order to better their lives in all sectors.
In receiving the items on behalf of the EFSTH management, the Operations Manager at the hospital, Adama Mbaye expressed his appreciation to the CEO Sawaneh and team for the timely donation of the motor wheelchair and a Crutch.
Mbaye assured the CEO of the foundation and his members that the items given to the hospital will be utilize judiciously, while also commended the foundation for being part of the hospital major donors for the past years.
In another development, the foundation also donated brand new air condition to the “Center for Street Children and Child Trafficking Studies” (CSCCTS) in Bakoteh.
Both the Coordinator of the Center and Logistic Officer, Momodou L. Jaiteh and Sheik Sarr received the item on behalf of the senior management of the team of the Center.
The duo assured to take good care of the donated item while applauded the donor for his continuous readiness to offer more support to the center in the future,
They called on other foundations, philanthropists, individuals, charitable organizations in and outside the country to emulate SSFN for their contribution to nation building.
