Eighteen Danish students and two Teachers from Helsingoer Little School have arrived at Kuntaur Upper Basic School in Central River Region North for three weeks exchange visit to the school.
The exchange visit is meant to learn and share from each other teaching and learning techniques, socio-cultural issues amongst others. The visit is annual event since the creation of the link in 1997 except for 2 years (ebola epidemic and the political impasses) pioneered by the link coordinator Mr. Kanimang Camara.
Events organized for this year’s visit include the following: Attending joint classes at Kuntaur Upper Basic School; Question and Answers on key thematic areas such as, Child education, environment, religion, politics, agriculture and gender; Visit to Armitage School, Jangjangbureh; Participate on the inter- house school sports day; Visit to families of Gambian friends to learn on daily activity calendar of a Gambian child; Visit to Wassu stone circles and weekly market “Lumo”; Presentation of learning and teaching materials to Kuntaur Upper and Lower Basic schools; and Distribution of used clothes to Kuntaur Fulla Kunda communities.
During the welcome ceremony at the school Mr. Landing Badgie re-assured the visitors that the annual visits contributes significantly in providing enabling teaching and learning environment to the school. He challenged both students to contribute their quota in ensuring that the
