The Democracy Watch Gambia, an institution responsible for human right watch has filed a formal complaint of human rights breaches against The Gambia Government at the National human rights commission.
The formal filling of the human rights complaint to the National Human Rights Commission by the rights body is in regard to the government failure to response to the letter written to government for clarification over its recent press release dated on the 26 January 2020 announcing the restriction and interference human rights.
Responding, to the press release dated on the 3 February 2020 DWG said they are left with no alternative but to take further steps with a view to compel the government to adhere to fundamental human rights.
“We here by informed the general public that we have submitted a formal complaint to the national human rights commission against the government for human breaches”, the release revealed.
