In respond to government quest for private sector support and participation to the transformation of agriculture, support the mechanization of agriculture to boost food production and productivity, as a result Agric-Tech Agricultural Enterprise partner with projects to enable farmers have access to farm implements.
Speaking to Voice Newspaper in NBR Alagie Kora General Manager of AgricTech Enterprise has underscored the significance of supporting smallholder farmers to benefit from agricultural projects to ensure conditions to access funding opportunities are easily accessible to transform their lives and livelihood.
He noted that the enterprise was established to respond to the growing needs of smallholder farmers to benefit from agricultural projects to boost food production and value addition.
He observed that due to flexible payment arrangement with the enterprise have able farmers to increase production using tractors to contribute immensely in changing the lives of farmers, through mechanization. He disclosed that in 2019, a total of 6 tractors, solar drier, power tiller and rice thrasher and milling machines were delivered NEMA and FASDEP for beneficiaries.
The enterprise help farmers to have flexible payment plan and are interest free. The support to farmers has increase production and productivity and address post-harvest on grain.
He challenged farmers to always carry out preventive maintenance of heavy equipment and reinvest the revenue in to meaningfully economic activities to contribute to poverty reduction.
