Gambia government intensifies efforts after Senegal confirmed second case on Coronavirus

The Gambia government has intensified efforts in putting right equipment in place against the deadly coronavirus as Senegal has confirmed second case of coronavirus.

The 80-year-old French national is currently reported to be the second patient of coronavirus outbreak in Senegal after the first case involving the same nationality who was reported few days ago.

So far Africa has recorded 12 cases of the corona virus with Egypt having 2 cases, Algeria 3 and Nigeria 1, Tunisia 1, Morocco 1 and Senegal now with a recent recorded number of 2 cases.

The world health organization (WHO) has earlier reported that countries in the sub-Saharan Africa currently without testing material will soon be provided with one to conduct more tests while advising people with coronavirus infections to stay at home if they begin to feel unwell and with mild symptoms such as headache and a slight running nose until they fully recover.

More than 90,000 cases and over 3,000 deaths have been recorded in some 60 countries. Africa has relatively reported low outbreak rate of the virus.
