Gambian President Adama Barrow will chair the second Senegambia presidential council meeting in Dakar, Senegal, on Thursday, as he leaves Banjul Wednesday for Dakar.
The pre-council meeting opened in Dakar on Tuesday by Gambian and Senegalese experts and ministers to discuss defense and security, justice and consular affairs, finance, transport and trade, higher education, tourism, culture, health, fisheries, agriculture and energy.
In March 2017, President Barrow visited Senegal to renew The Gambia government’s commitment to consolidating the relationship between the two countries, describing his relationship with Senegalese President, Macky Sall as twins, whose countries are bound by history.
