Managing director of Social Security and Housing Financial Corporation has said his institution is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of staff.
Mohamadou Manjang told The Voice in an interview: “Basically what we doing is, we are ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our people, and the members who comes in the institution, be it pensioners, regular members who are in affective service contributing we are concern about their health, we also concern when they come to the institution.
“That they are not unnecessarily expose, so we are constantly and frequently increase the cleaning.”
According to him, they use the medical retain and also educate our cleaners on to clean this kind of environment, adding “So that’s what of the thing we doing with cleaning, we are going to reduce the number of employees that are currently working here, and then identify people who are vulnerable, we have also identify activities that are non-critical, and will send those people on leave.”
So that way we do not have many people in the office, meeting ourselves, we are trying to maintain distancing and therefore we are running a lot of our meetings online, so we are not doing physical meetings, he said.
“We are also responding to the pensioners, normally we will pay them in cashier’s area but we realize that is pretty tight, so really having the pensioners seating there will not be spacing, so we decided to reduce 10 this time around, we make sure we are doing the meter basing and not more than 3 people going to the cashiers to minimize the risk of infection,” he said.
