The National Assembly on Monday upheld a motion tabled by the Ministry of Justice to withdraw information and communication Amendment Bills 2019.
Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Abubacarr Tambadou, who appeared before the lawmakers to seek the withdrawal of the Bills in his statement said “the reason is that the Ministry of Information, Communications and Infrastructure wishes to consult further on this and, I believe the consultation include either the select committee on ICT of this house.”
He added that “in order to provide an opportunity for that consultation to take place so that feedback could be incorporated in the bills to be presented back to this house.”
