Abdou Karim Jammeh currently undergoing treatment in Turkey said in a telephone interview that after their treatment (he and other victims), their next move is to seek justice for the victims’ families and survivors.
According to him during the interview he said “first and foremost let the government ban APRC and their gangs of bandits and criminals especially the notorious killers and let the criminals go to jail with their gang leader, the worse dictator ever in the world.”
Stating their demand he said they want government to ensure that the Youth Monument is giving to them as soon as possible to serve as annual memorial service monument for them. This he said they will use to remember and write the names of the victims and survivors of April 10/11 while a day or days should be set aside as public holidays or school holidays. So that they can “remember the fallen heroes, pray for them and say NEVER AGAIN to dictatorship in The Gambia,” Jammeh said in an interview from his hospital bed in Turkey.
He further urged the Gambian leader to sack Ministers of Finance Mambury Njie, Foreign Affairs Mamadou Tangara, Director of SIS Alhaji Ousman Sowe, Chief Protocol Officer Alhagie Ousman Ceesay and send away Seedy Njie, from the State House, and all former associate of former President Yahya Jammeh.
“We don’t need them in State House they are the same people who destroyed our country with Jammeh’s and they are doing the same thing to put the country behind,” he said.
He disclosed that if they are not sending away, they will bring a worse situation especially now that Gambians need new and better Gambia.
Jammeh also urged President Barrow to visit the Victim Center because His government need not to forget the victims and survivors.
So far so good, he said there in Turkey two surgeries has been done on him while he is doing his physic therapy at the moment and his others colleagues on treatment are doing good too.
He commended TRRC, Turkey Embassy, Victim Centre, GPA, Papa Njie of Unique Solutions, and concern Gambians for their supports toward their treatment.
