One of the leading Estate agents in The Gambia, Kombo Real Estate in partnership with Musa Suso Foundation has donated a cheque amounting to more than one hundred thousand dalasi to various organizations within West Coast Region to fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
The donation of the cheque alongside with presentation of medical items meant for preventing people from the spread of the virus. The presentation took place at the residence of Musa Suso in Sukuta and was attended by some senior staff of Kombo Real Estate Agent and beneficiaries.
The cheques were distributed as follows to the beneficiaries – West Coast Region Covid-19 taskforce D50,000 with medical items worth Fourty Thousand Dalasi, D8,500.00 for Gambia for 5 Years and Peace Building, Sukura Covid-19 Taskforce D10,000, Fabakary Ceesay Foundation D10,000. The presentation was through the influence of Musa Suso.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Sanna Jassey, Chief Executive Officer Kombo Real Estate Agent said his company is not only profit making entity but also lives to support government development agenda.
He explained that Kombo Real Estate deemed it necessary to support vulnerable people within the community in quest to fight against the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Considering the current situation as businesses are lockdown, earning become a major problem, while individual health remains a concern, he said Kombo Real Estate felt it is prudent to come up with strategies to support organizations from the grass-root to sensitizes the general public about the existing of this pandemic.
He dilated on the significant of health, he said it is good that all hands on deck to combat this widely spread virus.
Musa Suso Chief executive officer of Suso Foundation acknowledged the efforts of Kombo Real Estate, which are meant to compliment the government efforts in fighting against Covid-19.
He later described the pandemic a very dangerous virus that has no boundary. He therefore urged all and sundry to give proper attention in preventing the virus from spreading through the following of the WHO Guidelines which include to observer social distancing, regular washing of hands under running tap with soap, avoid sneezing and coughing openly and as well handshakes.
Ebrima Sorrie Bah, Secretary General Gambia for 5years and peace building applauded the leadership of the Kombo Real Estate for the foresight to donate to civil society organization.
