TAF Africa Global Wednesday donated a cheque for D100,000 to Kanifing Municipal Council towards the fight against Covid-19.
Speaking at the Presentation, Mr. Mustapha Njie, Proprietor of TAF Africa Global said explained that the donation of the cheque was one of many things TAF has been doing to all municipalities in The Gambia.
He noted that similar donation was done in Banjul City Council all in joining efforts with the councils to fight Covid-19.
Sainabou Martin, CEO of KMC on behalf of the Mayor of KMC, commended TAF Africa Global for their wonderful support, saying the money will really go a long way in helping them achieve their target of providing relief support to vulnerable family and groups within the council.
She said KM as a council immediately put up initiatives to ensure that the entire communities in the council are protected from the virus when the first case was registered in Senegal.
She disclosed that the council is witnessing a very challenging time as a result of the COVID 19 Pandemic. And because of the challenges she said the council has formed a task force with three pillars of response to the Covid-19.
This pillars she said include public awareness creation and sensitization, preventive measures and relief packaged recently launched to support vulnerable families.
