Business tycoon gives 35 bales of secondhand clothes to KAC

A top Gambian business tycoon Wednesday donated 35 bales of secondhand clothes and D20,000 cash to Kerewan Area Council (KAC).
The bales of the clothes donated by Salifu K Jaiteh are meant for distribution among the people of North Bank Region.

Malamin IL Bojang, Chairman KAC commended the donor for his continuous support to the Council especially in this trying moment.
He called on other philanthropists and private sector to emulate Salif K Jaiteh.
Seedy Touray, Chief Executive Officer for Kerewan Area Council, also commended the donor for his support to the council for the welfare of the taxpayers in council.

The CEO went on that the support will help those families that had suffered from domestic fire incidence in the region.
Aja Gass Lowe, Women Bureau Focal Person noted that the clothes would help families and promote the welfare of children, while thanking the council for given large shares of the clothes to women.

Salifu Bayo, President of North Bank Physically Challenge and Nominated member at the council said the support is timely and would assist physically challenge families during this difficult moment.

Salifu used the occasion to call on different institutions and humanitarian agencies to render more support to the association so that they can have food on their table.
Alagie K Saho of Pakau ward also made remarks and thanked the donor.
