The National Assembly is set to convene its Second Extraordinary Session in 2020 Legislative Year.
According to Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly the Session is scheduled for next Friday, 15th May and will end Wednesday, 20th May, as important and urgent matters of State would be discussed. This matter includes ‘further Extension of the period of the State of Public Emergency.’
The Session would also look at the Revised Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure, 2020 and the Supplementary Appropriation Bill, 2020.
“The Honorable Attorney General and Minister of Justice and the Honorable Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs shall table the aforesaid businesses respectively for the consideration of the Assembly.
“The Sittings commences at 10:00am prompt. However, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Chambers (sittings) are not opened to the General Public but the proceedings will be broadcast live,” the Clerk’s Office stated.
